I am working on my homework for Wednesday class, T225: Directing and Performances
Here is my homework.
"Conduct a character and behaviour study of a real Singaporean. This study must be supported by research materials – eg. Images, sketches, interviews, etc.
Shadow this character for at least half a day to gain a better understanding of the character.
Understand what it is to be Singaporean, and share the research findings in Problem 4: Representations of the Body.
Research on the philosophies and directing approaches of two local directors, Alvin Tan and Kok Heng Leun.
Understand how and why they work with the community through theatre and drama.
You may consult newspaper articles, past programme notes and any other resources available."
So, I've decided to do on Yi Ting and I'm still studying her character and behaviour.

1) she is friendly. But she tends to make wrong judgement.
2) yes. besides, friendly, she is kind and funny at times. sometimes, hard to communicate with her.
3) habits: enjoy laughing, using her common words/vocabulary(will be explained later)

- I think so. As you get to know her, she like to bully her close friends! (e.g syed)

No.She is still friendly and nice to me.

She has good manners as in she will greet me when we meet.

One year.
What is her character like?
She is kind-hearted and helpful.But sometimes she takes a long time to make a decision.
How she behaves in public?
She behaves properly in public as in she never says bad words.
What's your first impression of her as a person?Didn't look 19 but was really friendly towards people. Also, looked to be one that would be easily bullied by others.
Does your first impression of her change when you get to know her more?Not really. She STILL doesn't look her age, still really friendly - even to people she doesn't even know. But, although she still occasionally gets bullied easily by some people (SYED), she knows how to fight back - however, her arguments makes NO sense sometimes; thus, I've come to find out that, when hanging out with her too much, I end up having the =.=" face a lot.
What's her mannerism? ( name me any: example: her habits, gestures, behaviour, etc)BLUR QUEEN. Which leads to, laughing A LOT, RANDOMLY and at herself mostly AND "personalizing" various words, phrases and EVEN names of ordinary places in that Singlish tone of hers (eg. wat the hell, really meh?!, wat you want la, and of course, not forgetting: Tanjong Pagar = Tanjong PagEr), that makes everyone around crack up.
How long have you know her?Slightly over a year, but enough to get driven crazy by her.
What is her character like?Sociable, rather extrovert, funny, gullible, has good intentions but sometimes unable or unsure of how to show it in the right way.
How she behaves in public?BLUR. She walks very slow... but considerate sometimes, will let like, the auntie walk in front, but like. Really blur la huh. And if she's out with friends, she'll be laughing a lot.
